CPR Class
Monday, May 8, 2017 • 12 Iyyar 5777
6:00 PM - 7:00 PMCRO is proud to host a free CPR class, taught by the FDNY. The goal of the FDNY CPR Initiative programs is to equip New Yorkers with the skills to act in the event of cardiac arrest. The program is taught by certified FDNY EMS personnel. They have successfully trained thousands of New Yorkers in compressions-only CPR. The course offers the following:
- Basic instruction on performing compressions-only CPR
- Basic instruction on how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Practice mannequins for use during class and take-home video instruction for follow-up practice.
Please note: this is a compressions-only, non-certification adult CPR course. American Heart Association's guidelines dictate that Adult CPR is performed on any person over the age of 8.
This class is open to all people aged 14 and up.
There is no cost for this event, but please register in advance below. Please also consider sponsoring this event, to enable us to continue offering such important programming to the community.
