About Rabbi Yoni Zolty
Born in Geneva, Switzerland with stops in Denver CO, Teaneck NJ, and the Upper West Side, Rabbi Yoni Zolty has experienced firsthand the beautiful diversity Jewish communities have to offer.
Rabbi Yoni began his position as Senior Rabbi at Ramath Orah in August 2023. Previously, he served as the Assistant Rabbi at Lincoln Square Synagogue in Manhattan.
Rabbi Yoni received his rabbinical ordination (semicha yoreh yoreh) from Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary as well as a second rabbinical ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Rabbi Yoni also spent 2 years and many summers studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush).
Rabbi Yoni is well seasoned to the charms of Morningside Heights, having earned a dual B.A. in Physics and English from nearby Columbia University. He is currently working towards a Masters at Bar Ilan University in Literary Analysis to the Bible, as well as an advanced rabbinical degree (Yadin Yadin) at Yeshiva University.
Rabbi Yoni is married to Mindy Schwartz Zolty, a proud native of the Upper West Side, who is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University. Together they are the proud parents of their son Shalev.
