Yizkor Book and October 7 Commemoration 5785/2024

Yizkor Booklet

The Yizkor service includes a pledge to give tzedakah on behalf of the deceased.  With this in mind, we initiated an annual Yizkor booklet in 2020 to honor and remember departed relatives and friends by including their names in the book we will use for the Yizkor Memorial Services. The book will be distributed at the Yom Kippur Yizkor service and again at other Yizkor services throughout the year. This is a link to a prior year's book.

To list the name of loved ones, please fill out the form below. Each name will be included for $36 for the first name plus $18 for each additional name, with additional donations welcome.  If you wish to duplicate last year's entries there is no need to re-enter them, you may simply indicate on the form "copy last year's" and proceed with the appropriate payment.

If you would like to purchase a Yahrzeit Plaque for the sanctuary in memory of your loved ones, please fill out this formPurchase of a yahrzeit plaque will include an entry in the Yizkor book for this year.

The deadline for submission for inclusion in the Yizkor Book is Sunday, September 22, at 11 p.m., to allow us sufficient time to prepare the books.

Remembering October 7th.

This year, our Yizkor booklet will include, in solemn remembrance, the names of the innocent lives tragically lost in Israel on the 7th of October and in the months since. This sacred initiative will ensure that the names of our deceased brethren in Israel are remembered by our community alongside those of our beloved family members for whom we traditionally recite Yizkor.

Your contribution is not only a way to commemorate the lives lost but also a gesture of resilience and unity, ensuring that even in the face of tragedy, their memory endures.
Contribution to remember victims of October 7.
Thank you for participating in this year's Ramath Orah Community Yizkor Book. Please make sure you have received a confirmation email after submitting this form.
