November 4 @ 8PM “La vérité si je mens!” (1997)
The sentimental and comedic adventures of Eddie, a non-Jew trying to pass as Jewish as he works in a Sephardic community in France. (100 minutes; French with English subtitles)
December 9 @ 8PM “The Other Son” (2012)
Two young men, one Israeli and one Palestinian, discover they were accidentally switched at birth. (105 minutes; French, Arabic and Hebrew with English subtitles)
January 6 @ 8PM “Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School” (2005)
The story of one student's courageous fight to establish a gay-straight alliance at a Jewish high school in the Boston area and of a community’s struggle with what pluralism and diversity mean in a Jewish context. (60 minutes; English)
February 10 @ 8PM “Forever Pure” (2016)
Midway through the 2012-13 season a secret deal by the owner of Beitar Yerushalayim, Russian-Israeli oligarch Arcadi Gaydamak, brought two Muslim players from Chechnya onto the team. A powerful group of Beitar fans began a campaign against the two Muslim players, the team’s management, and any player who supported them, creating a national scandal that sent the team spiraling out of control. (85 minutes; Hebrew with English subtitles)

When the women’s balcony in an Orthodox synagogue collapses, leaving the rabbi’s wife in a coma and the rabbi in shock, the congregation falls into crisis. Charismatic young Rabbi David appears to be a savior after the accident, but slowly starts pushing his fundamentalist ways and tries to take control.
